The Reynolds Community is located just about 10 minutes from downtown. It feels rural, but is so convenient. It seems most people in the Asheville area never heard of Reynolds. Some wonder if we mean Reynolds Mountain, but no, that's a luxury community just north of downtown. Where we live is southeast of town, near Reynolds High School.
When we moved to the Asheville area, we really didn't know the neighborhoods or communities. We looked at houses and found one we liked - and we bought it. Then we moved in and had to learn our way around. Pretty much by accident, we love where we are!
Some people also think Reynolds is part of Fairview, but it isn't. It's between Fairview and downtown Asheville.
So, it's a great place - lots of trees, hilly. We aren't far from a grocery store, bank, drug store, Home Depot, restaurants. We're close to everything, but far enough away, to feel private and to enjoy the mountain scenery. The photo is what we see from our back windows when the leaves fall. A 180 degree view of the mountains about half the year.
Oh, and our address is actually Asheville. Part of Reynolds is under Asheville's jurisdiction (Extra Territorial Jurisdiction - ETJ), so we have the Asheville address and zoning but not the taxes - just county taxes. Not a bad deal.

I agree! This is a great area that many people don't even know about. That could be one reason why it's so great. So, don't tell anyone. ;0)
